Senior hands on Atlassian Architect/Administrator. I need someone who has full-life cycle Atlassian implementation experience as I have a client doing a project from scratch. This is a remote role based out of Denver, BUT the candidate must at least be willing to go to Denver periodically to meet with the leadership as needed.
This opportunity requires a specialized Atlassian Assets/Insight Architect, not a general Jira Administrator.
Focus on finding a Atlassian SME, someone who can come in with prior successful Atlassian implementation experience and someone who is very hands on technically and someone with the experience to interface with the stakeholders and business units. Someone who has deep technical knowledge and functional skills/
Candidates should demonstrate significant experience with Assets schema design, CMDB architecture, data relationships, and automation configuration within enterprise environments.
Experience with Atlassian ITSM and CMDB implementations is strongly preferred.
If you have successfully built and governed enterprise-level Atlassian Assets environments and are looking for a highly visible role with significant impact,
• Contractor 1 — Technical: Atlassian Data Architect
This is your Phase 1 critical path resource. Without a clean Assets schema and populated CMDB, nothing else in the program moves.
Primary skillset required:
• Atlassian Assets (formerly Insight) – schema design, object type creation, attribute configuration, relationship mapping. This is a specialist skill, general Jira administrators often do not have it
• Atlassian automation – Assets automation rules, Jira workflow automation, trigger configuration for change notifications and gap ticket creation
• Data modeling – ability to translate your BCDR schema design into a structured Assets object model with correct parent-child relationships and reference fields
• API integration experience – Assets REST API, Jira REST API. Needed for Phase 2 write-back connections from the RIP
• Confluence – page templating, structured content design for runbook prefill framework
Secondary skills (nice to-have):
• CMDB migration experience – normalizing data from spreadsheets and disparate sources into a structured schema
• Familiarity with BCDR or IT service management concepts – reduces the time we will need to spend translating business requirements into technical configuration
Assigned work they will help support:
• Assets schema build (e.g., all object types, attributes, relationships, and automation rules)
• T0-T2 data population, migrating our spreadsheet and source data into Assets correctly
• Jira gap ticket automation (alert to ticket workflow)
• Confluence runbook template structure for a prefill-ready template framework
• RIP write-back connections in Phase 2 – Jira closure loop, Assets record status updates, etc.
Decisioning, Definitions and Governance (not to be allocated/delegated to the contractor):
• Field definitions (what the fields mean and what values are acceptable)
• Tier classifications (which
• Schema governance decisions (what gets added, changed, or removed)
Where to source this profile: Atlassian Solution Partners with ITSM/CMDB practice experience. Need to specify Assets/Insight schema design as a mandatory requirement not just Jira administration skills. This is a narrower skillset than general Atlassian consulting and the distinction matters.
