Location: Downtown Houston, TX- 100% onsite, five days per week,

You can recruit people out of other Texas cities or surrounding areas if they are willing to live and work in Houston.
The position is 100% onsite, five days per week, though the company offers flexibility in scheduling, allowing employees to start earlier and finish earlier (for example, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM).

Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Endur Developer to support and enhance enterprise energy trading and risk management platforms that are utilized across front-office, middle-office, and back-office operations. This individual will play a key role in maintaining and improving solutions that support trading, deal capture, risk analytics, scheduling, settlements, invoicing, reporting, and system integrations.
The successful candidate will work directly with business users and technical teams to develop solutions, troubleshoot issues, optimize system functionality, and participate in strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Support, enhance, and maintain OpenLink Endur and related business applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technology solutions that improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in application implementations, software deployments, upgrades, and testing initiatives.
• Design, develop, document, and support system enhancements and integrations.
• Analyze business processes and translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide ongoing production support and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
• Support critical business functions including trading operations, risk management, contract administration, scheduling, settlements, invoicing, and reporting.
• Partner with team members across business and IT organizations to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop technical and functional documentation for applications, enhancements, and support processes.
• Mentor users and team members on system functionality and best practices when appropriate.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and rotational on-call support activities.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Build strong working relationships with users, project teams, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing, supporting, or integrating enterprise business applications.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Minimum 3 years of OpenLink Endur development and support experience.
• Strong understanding of application support, troubleshooting, and system integration methodologies.
• Proven ability to analyze complex business requirements and develop effective technical solutions.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with JVS scripting and Crystal Reports development/support.
• Four or more years of Microsoft SQL development and database experience.
• Additional experience supporting enterprise application environments and software development initiatives.
• Familiarity with the energy, commodities, trading, or risk management industry is highly desirable.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, CIS, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will also be considered.
