Plating Technician

Job Title: Plating Technician
Duration: 12+ months
Location: 100% onsite Greensboro, NC
Rate: $16.65/hr on Amtex W2 – MAX
Position is 3rd shift 11PM to 7AM but will train 1st shift for first 2-3 months.

Job Description
We are looking for a Plating Operator in the Greensboro, NC area . This position will be full-time and on-site. Position is 3rd shift 11PM to 7AM but will train 1st shift for first 2-3 months.

What You’ll Do
• Perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule
• Perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures
• Operate and adjust plating lines, Plating Operator II employees are asked to set up plating lines
• Perform quality checks of products and assure good product
• Load change reels
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Must possess the ability to coordinate and move product from one department to another
• Operate pallet jacks and other material handling devices

What You’ll Need
Required:
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 44 lbs safely & dependably
• Must be able to carry a minimum weight of 44 lbs safely & dependably
• Must be able to pull and push a peak force of 80 lbs safely & dependably
• Constant standing and frequent walking is required in this job
• Basic arithmetic and the ability to work with alpha-numeric part numbers
• Must be comfortable with 3rd shift and have reliable transportation
• Must be comfortable working with chemicals

Physical Demands
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
