Job Title: Project Manager / PMO / Banking
Location: Hybrid/Commack. Long Island or Troy, MI 3 days a week.
Duration: 3 Months to 2+ Year
Rate: $45-50/hr on W2 or $55-60/hr on C2C

The project will start at 3 months and then they will shift this resource to a new project. It will be extended for two years. We need a A Project Manager with extensive experience in PMO leadership and Banking experience. Candidate must Coach and lead Program Managers, Project Managers and Project Coordinators to ensure optimal performance, compliance to standard processes and procedures.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE PMO EXPERIENCE DEMONTRATED ON THE RESUME AS WELL AS RECENT BANKING.

Candidates must be LOCAL to the NEW YORK or NEW JERSEY/ Commack. Long Island or Troy, MI area and COMMUTE into the office THREE TIMES A WEEK.

Skills & Job Responsibilities

Coach and lead Program Managers, Project Managers and Project Coordinators to ensure optimal performance, compliance to standard processes and procedures. Provides subject matter expertise and leadership for implementation of Flagstar’s strategic and project management initiatives with a focus on achieving strategic goals as well as provides advice to IT Leadership on Project Management best practices, delivery management, risk and issue management. Design and execution of the project management disciplines within the Project Management Office. Act as subject matter expert on project management policies and procedures. Develop and implement standards, procedures, system monitors and controls to ensure the successful management and reporting of all corporate project initiatives. Maintains methodology that adapts to changing project management priorities and allows for management of enterprise risks and impacts. Provides coaching and mentorship to all project management positions across IT. Ongoing improvement and development data that provide metrics to measure portfolio health from initiation to deployment. Develop and maintain project and portfolio metrics that feed divisional dashboards used by the CIO and IT Directors for executive project reporting and provide measures and metrics used to assess the performance of the Project Management team. Provide training on all project management processes, standards and procedures as required. Design and implement better ways of work. Identify and implement automation where applicable. Strong ability to write policies, standards and procedures. Strong ability to develop presentation material (ppt). Experience with Agile ways of working. Use of Clarity and Azure Boards. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Excellent communication skills.
