POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

• Looking for a Sales Manager/Director of Sales for Enterprise SSDs that will be focused on Enterprise Solid-State Drives to key customers in the Enterprise, Hyperscale, Datacenter and Cloud Service Provider market segments.
• This key individual will have the overall responsibility to establish and develop enduring partnerships with leaders and decision makers at Tier1 OEM and similar types of customers.
• The goal is to increase our partnership, value proposition, product qualification opportunities, design wins, and product revenue.
• These efforts are intended to drive Enterprise SSD product volumes and have a significant impact on business growth and overall sales and product margin.
• In addition to developing and maintaining these business partnerships, the Sales Manager/Director of Sales for Enterprise SSDs will conduct business reviews and make recommendations to management to ensure product positioning and customer engagements are aligned with corporate goals.
• This person will report to the Vice President of Sales and will work at all levels of the company beginning at the earliest stages of design where working relationships will be formed with both engineering, marketing and operation to close design wins at key customers.
• Having existing senior customer relationships and being able to navigate the entire partnership process through all phases of design, delivery and beyond are critical attributes for this role.
• The Sales Manager/Director of Sales for Enterprise SSDs will be responsible for ensuring the customer’s current and future needs are met and for growing, sustaining and renewing client contracts. This person will act in a critical role as the “voice of the customer” to management.
• The Sales Manager/Director of Sales for Enterprise SSDs must possess the ability to work independently to achieve goals and be experienced in reporting to and working with senior management.
• Relevant and current relationships at key customers are mandatory with the specific emphasis and experience being at Tier1 OEMs, Enterprise, DataCenter, HyperScale, Solution Providers and SaaS customers.
• Strong SSD technology knowledge that will allow for managing these products through the design, qualification and sales process.
• Also, the Sales Manager/Director of Sales for Enterprise SSDs will take ownership of problems and lead resolution to the challenges of the customer.
• In addition, it is essential in this position to bring a strategic and consultative approach in understanding the customer’s business needs, issues and priorities to deliver a value-add business solution.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare a sales/business plan to expand market share at Tier1 OEMs, Enterprise, DataCenter, HyperScale, Solution Providers and SaaS customers
• Must have working knowledge and strong relationships at this targeted customer base
• Develop and execute strategies for coverage of key accounts
• Deliver strategy and programs for new customer initiatives
• Ability to self-generate leads and cultivate strategic customer relationships
• Provide direction to sales/marketing/engineering in attaining revenue and profit goals
• Create and maintain new business opportunities with key customers
• Manage the flow of information and communication between us and customers with the objective of maintaining strong customer relations
• Possess decision making skills driven by “what is the right thing to do?”
• A strong work ethic centered on a “can do” and “will to win” attitude
• A sense of urgency, self-motivation and commitment to do what it takes to get the job done
• Ability to demonstrate good judgment and original thinking in order to address the demands of the business

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• BSEE degree or related field and/or equivalent experience
• Minimum of seven (7) years of sales experience required in selling Enterprise SSDs
• Proven track record of success in opening and systematically penetrating new accounts
• Knowledge of customer service, sales principles and concepts along with key-account sales methods and practices
• Track record of personal involvement in understanding customer needs and utilizing resources to meet and/or exceed these customer needs
• A proven ability to recognize opportunities for business expansion within key-accounts and the ability to sell the opportunity throughout the key account organization and within your company
• A sales leader with strong tactical and analytical abilities
• Proven self-starter with the ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to be a team player as well as an individual contributor driving tangible results while maintaining a vision for growth
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• The ability to travel up to 50% in the USA
