Job Title: Security Advisor
Duration: 1+ year contract
Rate: $60-65/hr on Vendor W2- Max
Location: Minneapolis, MN Contract to hire. We do need candidates to be onsite 3x week.

Looking for 2-3 candidates on a contract or contract to hire basis.Must be local, available to go into office 3x per week
This is associated with the Enterprise Securities Portfolio at AZL. This portfolio has 140 potential projects that they are prioritizing for 2025. This role is to support Securities Projects on an end to end basis. Currently they have a team 1 Sec Awareness and training, 3 Security Design, and 4 Sec Advisors, this would join team of Sec Advisors. Will be helping to build out Sec FW from Scratch and implement controls and governance from an architecture perspective on down. Looking for a consultative Sec background working in Design and hands on Sec Advisory. Manager comes from Cisco BG and likes this style prof for position. This is both high level and hands on, just above Teir 3 Support style work. Cloud exp preferred as they are just getting into it. Interview: 2 rounds, Webex Start Date: ASAP The Security advisor collaborates with key stakeholders to provide oversight in the design, implement, and maintenance of our security architecture. This role involves developing, reviewing, and guiding information security solutions across all business units, collaborating with stakeholders and teams throughout the organization.

What you do:
· Assess security (functional and non-functional) requirements aligned with business objectives. · Help research and communicate security best practices and standards and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. · Assess security (functional and non-functional) requirements aligned with business objectives. · Work with stakeholders to assess security solutions. · Support the development of security standards, reference architectures, patterns, and guidelines for consistent security posture. · Perform security architecture design reviews and threat modelling of our products (cloud and on-prem) · Assess the effectiveness of security controls (data protection, identity, and access management (IAM), detective controls, infrastructure/network security, incident response) and drive implementation of appropriate controls, processes, and remediation of non-compliance. · Contribute to and advocate for new technologies, architectures, and security products to enhance the organization’s security maturity roadmap. · Act as a subject matter expert for security design, configurations, baselines, and technical standards.

What you bring: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology services, or a related field

Certifications and/or Licenses:

· Certified information systems security professional (CISSP) certification · Certified ethical hacker (CEH) certification · GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst Certification (GCIA)
