Job Title: Senior Engineer Business Intelligence
Location: Can be remote in Housto, TX they can opt to work one day a week in office if they would like to work around people.
Salary: Will pay up to $140K base plus an annual bonus and great benefits package.

They must have very strong Power BI skills and experience.
Oil & Gas experience a definitely PLUS for sure. Ideal candidate has 7-10 years of experience.

SUMMARY:

The Sr. Engineer Business Intelligence actively collaborates with business stakeholders, BI analysts & developers, and other teammates in IT to design, implement, & maintain BI systems and
solutions.

DUTIES:
– Assist with fostering a strong data culture in the company
– Assist with improving the capabilities and value of BI at the organization
– Provide QC of solutions within the QC framework
– Follow change management and integration management best practices
– Address IT tickets & troubleshoot performance, operability, & accuracy of reports
– Perform administrative duties to maintain the current BI environment
– Manage access to the current BI environment
– Support business users to publish, refresh, change, and remove reports
– Lead development on solutions with complex requirements
– Assist analysts outside IT to use the enterprise data model and deliver their own solutions
– Deliver more basic reporting solutions at the direction of the BI Manager
– Work with business to gather detailed requirements & design solutions
– Compare data needs against data available in enterprise assets
– Maintain an enterprise data architecture

REQUIREMENTS:
– 2+ years sustaining an enterprise data architecture, such as a common data model or data warehouse
– 2+ years working with internal stakeholders
– 2+ years of owning full lifecycle of BI projects/solutions
– 5+ years of hands-on enterprise data engineering/ETL experience and data modeling experience
– 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack
– Excellent leadership & interpersonal skills
– Comfortable operating in a past-paced, dynamic, customer-facing role
– Comfortable prioritizing & ability to manage work & stakeholders across multiple projects
– Capable of working within an enterprise data environment- change & integration management
– Strong skills in data wrangling- Power Query & M and data modelling & DAX
– Strong skills in data visualization and troubleshooting concepts
– Experience with SQL Server Management Studio, DAX Studio, Tabular Editor, & ALM Toolkit
– Comfortable working with row level & object level security

EDUCATION:
– Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in a suitable field
