Job Title: Business Analyst
Duration: Initially 12 months
Location: L’Enfant Plaza, Washington, DC 20024- Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Rate: $35/hr on W2 or $40/hr on C2C – MAX

They would prefer candidates with state transportation experience or have worked for an airline.

Job Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst to work on a team of IT project professionals to review, assess, and remediate issues across a number of initiatives across the IT portfolio. This position will be full-time and hybrid.

What You’ll Do
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies
• Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
• Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs
• Prepare and document Functional and Technical Specifications for reporting and data warehouse work
• Assist with business warehouse/intelligence support and enhancements
• Develops RFPs
• Assist in deployment and management of end-user reporting tools and platforms
• Work with IT and business project teams to understand reporting and data warehousing requirements and propose solutions
• Document and provide knowledge transfer to the rest of the Enterprise Reporting Team for all solutions
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs
• Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Performs a variety of tasks
• Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager

What You’ll Need
Required:
• Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective
• Familiar with industry standard (including Legacy, Core, and Emerging technologies), business process mapping, and reengineering
• Experience in project management is essential with proven track record of successfully leading and delivering mobile application projects
• Experience with managing remote development team is crucial
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
• 5+ years of experience in project management is essential with proven track record of successfully leading and delivering mobile application projects on time and within budget
• 5+ years of experience with managing remote development team is crucial
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in management, information systems, or a related field
