Role Overview
We are seeking a Principal Front-Office Engineer to serve as a technical lead within the Risk team. This individual will drive the design and development of applications and proof-of-concepts to enhance risk analysis, enable AI-driven workflows, and improve reporting processes.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a senior or lead engineer who prefers to remain an individual contributor while influencing technical direction.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Boston)

Qualifications
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• 5+ years of professional Python development experience, including large financial datasets
• Experience with pandas and NumPy
• Front-end development and UX experience (Plotly, Dash preferred)
• Proficiency with Git/version control
• Experience with Agentic tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude)
• Proven ability to design and scale systems in data-rich environments, including AI-driven solutions
• Strong SQL skills
• Familiarity with financial platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Aladdin, eFront, Moody’s) preferred
• Experience with statistical/time-series analysis tools (e.g., Scikit-learn, SciPy, cvxpy) preferred
• Solid understanding of financial markets and multi-asset risk
